Aizawl is the hub to visit nearby tourist places in Mizoram such as Tamdil Lake, Durtlang Hills, 750 ft high Vantawng waterfall located 140 kms away. Phawngpui peak or blue mountain 300 kms away is also a must visit spot for tourist. Among other places to visit are Reiek heritage model village and Dampa tiger reserve. Bung and Paikhai are famous picnicspots 15 kms from Aizawl. The city is worth a visit all year except monsoon season.
