Alappuzha or Alleppey is a city on the #Lakshadweep Sea in the southern state of #Kerala, #India. It’s best known for its houseboat cruises along the rustic Kerala #backwaters, a wide network of interlinking, palm-fringed tranquil canals that are called backwaters. As such Kerala is called the ‘Backwater Capital of India and Alleppey or Alappuzha is often termed the “Venice of the East”.
