Bilaspur is a city in Chhattisgarh, India. The Arpa river cuts through the centre of the city. Bilaspur is most well known for its aromatic rice variety named Doobraj rice, handloom colourful soft Kosa silk sarees. The city is a hub of education and is home to numerous well known universities like AtalBihariVajpayee Vishwavidyalaya, Guru Ghasidas University, Guru Ghasidas University, Pandit Sundarlal Sharma (Open) University, Maharishi University of Management and Technology. The city located on the main mumbai Howrah train route is well connected by air ad road with other cities.

Bilaspur is known for several archaeological sites and temples in and around the city.
