BukaIsland and Lake also called Mauritius of Chhattisgarh. The beautiful lake is located on Hasdeo Bango Dam, longest dam in Chhattisgarh over 65 kms from Korba, the power hub of the state. The massive lake is famous for number of Islands including Satrenga, Buka and Golden islands located on one end of the lake.
The pristine beauty and turquoise blue color water and lush greenery give the location its name “Mauritius in Chhattisgarh”. Best time to visit is winter, when dam on Hasdeo river is full of water. The 75 feet high Kendai Waterfall is on the other end of the lake. Also, worth visiting is the nearby ancient caves of Bulisidh.
