Haryana is a state in North India that surrounds the national capital of New Delhi on 3 sides. The Yamuna River runs along its eastern border with Uttar Pradesh. The state shares its capital Chandigarh with Punjab. Chandigarh is India’s 1st planned city and is known for its modernist buildings and grid-like street plan designed by Swiss architect, Le Corbusier. The Zakir Hussain Rose Garden features 1,600 species, while its Rock Garden showcases sculptures made with recycled materials. Hisar, Rohtak, Ambala Gurgaon or Gurugram. Karnal and Faridabad are the major cities of the state.
Haryana also known as the Green Land of India, is rich and ranks amongst the leading industrialized states in the country. The state was part of Indus Valley civilization and sites at Rakhigarhi village in Hisar district and Bhirrana in Fatehabad district excavated that are over 9,000 years old.

The state is rich in biodiversity and has huge cover flora and fauna that make it a major tourist attraction.
