Lakshadweep is a tropical archipelago of 36 atolls and coral reefs in the Laccadive Sea, off the coast of Kerala, India. Known for its pristine beauty, greenery and tranquil turquoise blue waters, not all 36 islands of Lakshadeep are inhabited. Only 10 out of those are inhabited and open to visitors subject to permit. Kavaratti, is the most developed islands, and town. It is home to 50+ mosques, including the ornately decorated UjraMosque.

Tourist can also visit a huge Shiva temple as well as KavarattiAquarium, showcasing regional fish, shark and coral species. Other important islands include Bangaram, Kalpeni, Minicoy, Kadmat, and Agatti that are open to tourist. Most of these islands are perfectly suited as honeymoon destinations and are known for their clear aqua water, unspoiled #marine life and exotic lagoon. Tourist can go for kayaking, waterskiing, yachting, windsurfing, scubadiving on coralreefs, sailing, glass bottom boat ride, fishing, or simply explore the pristine white sand beaches and lagoon.

Lakshadweep, A union territory, it is linked to all major cities across India from Agatti airport through Trivandrum airport. Tourist can also come here through ships that leave from Trivandrum, and Cochin. Lakshadweep is home for known for numerous variety of marine fishes, corals, seaweed, crabs, lobsters, gastropods, bivalve and birds. Open to visit throughout the year travel between Lakshadweep islands is done through boats, though travel by ships is difficult in monsoon.
