Tezpur is a town in Sonitpur district, Assam state, India. Tezpur on the banks of the Brahmaputra river is located 175 kilometres northeast of Guwahati. Tazpur is the largest town in the north bank. The city is famous for its Tea plantations, with vast stretches of tea gardens interspersed with forests, giving it a lush green cover that attracts a large number of tourists to the town.
